DroidVPN crashes after installing the new update?

We've been releasing updates on Google Play for the past few days. But for some reasons the update on some devices is not being applied properly which leads to the app force closing. Searching the net for this problem yielded results that say it was a bug on Android or Google Play and the only workaround we found was to do a full re-install of the app. So if DroidVPN is crashing after you apply an update, just re-install the app to fix it. No root version of DroidVPN

You can now use DroidVPN on your android devices without root access. We first announce this last year. and finally its been released on Google Play. This new version is still being updated and more features will still be added. Cannot connect because port X is closed?

We've been receiving emails from users informing us that they can connect from our VPN servers before but now they can no longer connect because port X is closed and they are getting the "No open UDP port found!" error. Those users are using our VPN service to get Free internet. That is possible because their ISP has a loophole on their network which enables them to use the internet even if they do not have any airtime,load,balance or active internet plan on their mobile phone. Update: Server downtime 6/3/2013

Our authentication servers crashed 12 hours ago. It was restored just a moment ago by our provider. Sorry for the inconvenience. In exchange we are going to extend all premium account holders for an additional 2 days for the 12 hours downtime of our servers. [Read more...]

Error: Failed to unpack database list

When we developed the main engine of DroidVPN we made sure that we do not waste RAM by allocating large buffers from the program. But we made a mistake and some of the buffers allocated were small enough to work on larger data. When we added more servers to address the "Server is full" issue, the size of the database list increased more than the size of the allocated buffers which is causing the "Failed to unpack database list" error message.
