Root access required error on a rooted device

Problem: Getting a "Root access required" error on an already rooted device.
Cause: This bug is triggered due to a race condition when DroidVPN checks if your phone is rooted for the first time. When DroidVPN asks for root permission and the dialog for the Superuser app is not shown immediately it then thinks that the phone is not rooted.
Solution:
- Make sure that DroidVPN is really granted of root access through your superuser app.
- Goto Settings of your phone > Apps > and then find DroidVPN and force close it. You can also use other process manager to really force close DroidVPN you are using on your phone.
- Try opening DroidVPN again this time it should now correctly detect that you are rooted.
Note:
- This problem is for ROOTED devices only. If your device is really not rooted then this is not the solution for you. You should try this page instead
- Going through the Exit menu of DroidVPN will not work since Android still keeps the DroidVPN process running in the background.
