DroidVPN crashes after installing the new update?

Posted on June 20, 2013 @ 8:01 pm

We've been releasing updates on Google Play for the past few days. But for some reasons the update on some devices is not being applied properly which leads to the app force closing. Searching the net for this problem yielded results that say it was a bug on Android or Google Play and the only workaround we found was to do a full re-install of the app. So if DroidVPN is crashing after you apply an update, just re-install the app to fix it.

If it is still crashing then please email us for assistance.

It is indeed very annoying but we need to fix the bugs reported by our users. We do test each release for bugs but the problem is some bugs only appear on certain devices. And with the large number of different android devices we cannot guarantee that it will be free of bugs on every devices. One of the big problems with android is that each manufacturer may change pretty much whatever they want in their firmware which make our app work on a certain device and not on others.
